How Unlocks Work

Earn the product as you answer

Features stay greyed until your preference map is strong enough to make them useful. Here is the full ladder.

The rule

Unlocks are driven by answered questions — not skips, not time on site, not a paywall. Each either/or you complete adds one to your count. Cross a threshold and the matching tile on your dashboard lights up.

Greyed features are waiting rooms, not errors. The product is honest about when it has enough signal to show you a map, a ledger, or a recommendation with a real because-clause.

Visual thresholds

Read the ladder top to bottom. Early unlocks are solo and reflective. Later unlocks lean into place, people, and discovery — some may still show as preview until the social layer ships.

What does not unlock

Watching tutorials, reading this page, or signing in with Google does not advance the ladder. Only non-skipped answers do. That keeps progress meaningful and the map honest.

If you reset answers from the dashboard, counts restart. You can rebuild — but you will re-earn unlocks from the new run.
