How to use MiTRYBE, step by step

From first login to Florida recommendations — practical guides without the fluff.

These tutorials match how the product works today: account, then dashboard, then questions, then unlocks. Jump to the section you need, or read straight through once.

Tutorial 01

Set up your account

  1. Go to Sign in and choose Create account — or continue with Google if you prefer a faster path.
  2. Pick a display name you are comfortable showing on your dashboard. You can refine it later.
  3. After signup, open your dashboard. Features appear greyed until you earn them by answering questions.
  4. Bookmark /account — that is your home base for progress, unlocks, and resets.

Tutorial 02

Answer either/or questions

  1. Open Questions from the header or your dashboard. Each prompt is a quick A/B choice — no essays.
  2. Read both options. Choose the one that fits how you actually decide, not the “cooler” answer.
  3. After each pick you get a short learn-line: what MiTRYBE noted. It should feel specific, not mystical.
  4. Skip sparingly. Skipped items do not count toward unlock thresholds — only real answers do.
  5. Come back anytime. There is no streak pressure; the map improves as you go.

Tutorial 03

Unlock features as you go

  1. Your dashboard shows the unlock ladder with answer counts next to each feature.
  2. Taste Map opens at 10 answered questions. Inference Ledger at 15. Florida Food Map at 25.
  3. Later layers — Place Energy, Friend Overlaps, Discovery, Deep Taste Map — open at higher counts.
  4. Greyed tiles are not broken. They are waiting. Keep answering when you have a spare minute.
  5. Some later features may show as preview until the social layer ships — you still earn the slot.

Tutorial 04

Read your taste map

  1. After 10 answers, open Taste Map from the dashboard or /map.
  2. Look for dimensions, not a single score. MiTRYBE maps why you lean toward structure, spectacle, quiet, or crowd energy.
  3. Treat early maps as drafts. Ten answers sketch the outline; deeper runs fill in the edges.
  4. If something feels off, keep answering — or reset from the dashboard if you want a clean slate.
  5. Use the map as a mirror before you use it as a matchmaker. Understanding yourself comes first.

Tutorial 05

Use the Florida food map

  1. Unlock Florida Food Map at 25 answers, then open it from the dashboard or /recs.
  2. Recommendations are seed archetypes with because-clauses — reasons tied to your answers, not a live venue dump.
  3. Read the because-line. That sentence is the product: why this suggestion fits your dimensions.
  4. Use your own judgment for dietary needs, accessibility, and safety. Early recs are guidance, not guarantees.
  5. As you answer more, later layers (Place Energy, deeper map) refine how place and food sit together.

Tutorial 06

Keep control of your data

  1. Review Policies & Security under Learn More for how accounts and preference maps are handled.
  2. You can reset answers from the dashboard when you want the map rebuilt from scratch.
  3. We do not sell your preference map as a standalone product.
  4. Sensitive culture-war bait is not launch question content — the product stays useful without that.
